John Jarrell PhD, PE is President of BI. John’s primary role is managing collaborative R&D programs to optimize coatings for specific applications and communicating with scientific and medical decision-makers. John has spent the last 17 years as president of Materials Science Associates, a failure analysis and consulting firm specializing in medical devices. He spent seven years providing engineering and technical marketing support for a medical coating company in Rhode Island. He is a recognized multi-disciplinary expert in coatings, medical devices, and anti-bacterial biomaterials. BioIntraface has drawn on its contacts with Rhode Island Hospital, Women & Infants’ Hospital and Brown University to assemble world-class clinical and scientific advisory boards and collaborators. The clinical advisory board comprises Christopher Born MD, COL (retired) Roman Hayda MD, and Stephen Krotz MD, while the scientific advisory board comprises Jeffrey Morgan PhD, Edith Mathiowitz PhD, and Anubhuv Tripathi PhD.
